Sticking
The basic sticking sequence takes 4 beats, hit the floor twice then hit the person opposite’s stick twice. This repeats and progresses down the set like a mexican wave.
– 1 and 2 stick
– 1, 2, 3 and 4 stick
– All stick
– right
– left
– right
– left
Then this repeats in the reverse order:
– 5 and 6 stick
– 3, 4, 5 and 6 stick
– All stick
– right
– left
– right
– left
Back to back right and left
– 2 steps forward passing left of opposite dancer
– 2 steps across to the right
– 4 steps back passing right of opposite dancer
– 2 steps forward passing right of opposite dancer
– 2 steps across to the left
– 4 steps back forming into a single line, turn to face partner

Regardless of position first step is to person’s left.
Continue swapping left/right until the end of the line
At end of line turn then pass left again, continue

2 steps to form circle:
– Middle step back 2 steps
– Corners two steps diagonally out
6 steps around anticlockwise.
Turn and 8 steps around clockwise
Form back into original set

Bottoms up
Everyone moves up through the set forming a single line.
– 4 steps in place
– 4 steps – 5 and 6 move up through the centre.
– 4 steps – 3 and 4 move up through the centre.
– 4 steps – 1 and 2 move up
Hold sticks above head.
Throw sticks.
